Members of the Mission and Installation Contracting Command support the Soldier and their families through the acquisition of goods and services vital to the Soldier's mission and well-being. Headquartered at Fort Sam Houston, the MICC is made up of 35 contracting field offices throughout the country. In fiscal 2012, the command executed more than 58,000 contract actions worth more than $6.3 billion. The MICC is responsible for planning, integrating, awarding and administering contracts across the Army to provide the best value for the mission, Soldiers and their families. Contracting professionals at the MICC's subordinate units work with installation leadership to translate their requirements into contracted services, equipment and minor construction.
